BHIVE

Brighton Grammar has now begun work on a purpose-built centre for collaborative and flexible learning named BHIVE to enhance a portfolio of 21^st century capabilities and mindsets, within a Design Thinking framework due for completion in late 2022.

This centre will include:

• Collaborative and flexible workspaces to enable boys to work in teams
• Open spaces for students to work together on a problem, encouraging them to adapt to change
• Increased productivity and motivation by learning to work independently and as a team member
• Large kitchen facilities for Food Technology studies
• Implementation of a new framework as a part of the timetabled curriculum as well as extra-curricular opportunities

Skills our boys will learn

• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Entrepreneurship skills – how to pitch an idea, marketing, branding and sponsorship
• Collaborative skills – through pooled talent, allowing cross-exposure of skills, knowledge and duties, to approach problems from all angles
